Resident Designer & Filmmaker

Chesley is a local designer, animator and filmmaker. He has been designing sets, lights, puppets, and projections for Honolulu Theatre for Youth productions for the past six years. Favorites include Thumbelina, Lono’s Journey, and Duke, with which he toured to New York and Connecticut. He has an MFA in Design from UH-Manoa and studied stop-motion puppet building in Prague, Czechia.  He recently completed the animated puppet film “Au Revoir, Tytania”.
